Alison Ross- Curriculum Vitae
Alison graduated from QUT in 1993 with a BA-Drama, majoring in design. She has worked in and around design ever since.

Redcliffe Museum: Based on Blackwell’s Design Co’s masterplan redevelopment, I created a new design for the permanent collection as well as the entrance/foyer/retail spaces

Alison has worked as puppet maker for Handspan Visual Theatre on several large-scale projects, including Raised By Wolves and The Cone Project and as a prop maker on numerous productions including The Boy from Oz and Sisterella.
She has lectured in prop-making at the Queensland University of Technology 1998-2006 and was Lecturer in Design, within the School of Performing Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne University from 2007-2011.

Alison has created exhibitions for Museum of Brisbane, Qantas Historical Museum, the Queensland Primary Industries Museum and one of Yamaha’s award-winning ‘Best Display’ exhibitions at the Australian Motorshow.

In 2005 Alison received an Asialink residency funded by the Australia Council, the Australia-Korea Foundation and Arts Queensland. She worked in South Korea for three months as designer and prop maker and her hosts were LATT Children’s Theatre and Yongin University. This relationship with LATT has continued and Alison has returned to Korea thrice to conduct art-drama workshops.

Alison has received two Matilda Award commendations for her stage designs.
