Painting With Light

William Bustard (1894 – 1973) was an artist, illustrator and stained-glass window designer. With more than 70 original works on show, the exhibition offered a new look at this important and much-loved artist.
To showcase the stained-glass window designs and to separate his early paintings from his later work, I designed a ‘chapel’ in the centre of the space with rear-lit photographic reproductions of some of his notable windows.
